Leading Teams to
Align, Brand, & Create.
Twelve years leading design, motion, and production at WGN-TV, NewsNation, and Epsilon, the last six directing teams. In 2026 I founded RecLet, a writing and audio studio for iOS, Android, and web, and built it by directing AI coding agents the way I direct a design team.
Selected work
Six bodies of work, one method.
Every creative decision is a story decision. These are the places I have made that pay off: a national news launch, a weekly comedy show, six years of daily television, a global agency team, and a product I built myself.

RecLet
Founded a company and built a cross-platform writing and audio studio: brand, product, every word of copy, and ~170K lines of software built by directing AI agents.

NewsNation
The creative infrastructure that took a three-hour newscast toward 24-hour national news: eight show brands, the 2020 debate and election packages, a brand relaunch, a team of eight.

Man of the People
Lead designer for WGN's weekly comedy show, 2018–2019: about 80 graphics a week, 4,000+ in all, and the show's animation package.

WGN-TV
Daily news graphics for Chicago's #1 morning newscast, the 2018 WGN Sports animation package, franchise opens, and the automation behind 900+ animations a quarter.

Studio
Key art and 3D under Mautonceman Studios: book covers, one-sheets, a spec campaign, and the Bottle o' series built in Blender.

Epsilon
Production systems, onboarding, and training for a global digital team serving OLIPOP, the NFL, McDonald's, and Walgreens.
How I work
Story theory, then the system that ships it.
Every creative decision is a story decision: what a brand promises, which line of copy earns the click, which segment opens the show, even the palette, because a product built to calm someone cannot be red. Read the story right and the brand, the marketing, and the design stop arguing with each other. It is why RecLet is called RecLet, from Your Records & Letters. Your Stories.
Then I build the thing the team ships through: templates, standards, onboarding, review gates, and the documentation that makes them stick. It worked for eight designers at a news network, for producers across the US, UK, and India, and in 2026 for a team of AI coding agents.
